Shanxi Key Laboratory of Micro Nano Sensors & Artificial Intelligence Perception was established in 2010, formerly known as the Micro Nano System Research Center, and had been approved as a Shanxi Provincial Key Laboratory in 2021. In 2013, it was selected as an innovation team in the key field of the Ministry of Science and Technology. In 2017, it was awarded the “1331” engineering focus of Shanxi Province. The field innovation team and the Shanxi Province "Hundred Talents" innovation team won the high-end micro-nano sensor and system in 2018. The Shanxi provincial innovation team, the Shanxi province artificial intelligence biomedical graduate training base, and the Shanxi colleges and universities service industry innovation discipline group construction plan "Data Technology and Application Discipline Group" and Shanxi "1331" Engineering Artificial Intelligence Biomedical Key Laboratory, etc.

A total of 23 team members, all with a Ph.D. degree, more than 70% have overseas study or visiting experience, 13 have senior professional titles, 1 national Jieqing, 1 national excellent youth, 6 provincial "100 Persons" selected, 2 "100 young people" and more than 10 outstanding young doctoral talents at home and abroad. More than 80 doctoral and master students have been trained. The center is equipped with complete equipment, a professional laboratory area of 3,200 square meters, and more than 60 sets of advanced instruments and equipment, with a total value of more than 30 million yuan.

Published more than 500 academic papers and authorized more than 50 core patents (including 2 foreign core patents). Published 7 academic monographs, undertook a total of more than 40 projects including the National Ministry of Science and Technology's key research and development plan, the National 863 Project, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Shanxi Province Higher Schools' Key Discipline Construction Project, Shanxi Province's Major Projects, and Horizontal Projects of Enterprises and Institutions with a total funding of more than 100 million yuan. The research achievements won the first prize of Shanxi Province Technology Invention Award in 2019, the second prize of Shanxi Province Science and Technology Progress in 2018, the second prize of outstanding scientific research achievements of Shanxi Province in 2012, and the third prize of Shanxi Province Science and Technology and Nature category in 2012.
